Handique Girls´ College is situated in an ideal location in the heart of then city of Guwahati on the western banks of the historically famous Dighali Pukhuri .The serene atmosphere with calm, green surroundings, is conducive for academic pursuits. The present campus is spread over six bighas of land, which is rather inadequate for a college that is growing so fast; but the Government has allocated ten more bighas of land and future expansion should pose no problem when the land is properly developed.

Handique Girls’ College is one of the nerve- centers of Women’s education in the entire North East The college provides higher secondary and graduation in both Arts and Science. Post Graduation courses are also conducted in certain disciplines.
