LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Semester wise Teaching Learning Management of the Department:

Regular Teaching through prescribed course content under Gauhati University via class discussion, question session, seminar presentation and the like in traditional offline classroom mode. Online mode of classes is also arranged for regular class and arrangement done with other resource persons for specific topic. For teaching aids secondary printed reading materials are provided, uses black/white board and PPT presentations done through TV projector. Students class attendance Record are maintained through register and calculated time to time. Remedial/Bridge classes are also arranged for students regularly by the regular teaching staffs. Peer-learning, group discussion and group presentations are also a regular practice of the Department. E-learning through WhatsApp groups and google classrooms are also exercised.

Mid-Sem Exam and internal assessments are integral part of the semester evaluation process where student’s participation in class and other activities of the Department, assignment works and class attendance records are examined. Elected Class Representatives system is a regular practice of the Department through which information’s are shared. Each faculty is engaged with groups of mentees for all-round mentoring, monitoring and encouragement, contact with parents, career counselling and for personal issues to resolve. The department arranges Parents’ Teachers Meet regularly via offline or online mode of contact. Students are also giving opportunities to write articles in wall magazine and departmental periodical ‘Elenchus’ published every year. Every year the outgoing batch’s feedbacks are collected following various criteria centrally and prepared an evaluated report for each faculty under 10 point scale.
