Field Experience:
Over two decades of field experience in Northeast India Particularly on botanical field collection, EIA studies, forest ecology, minor forest products, traditional knowledge, wildlife biology and plant taxonomic study.
- Worked with Indo-US Primate Project (a co- operative programme of Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India and US Fish & Wildlife Services, Washington DC) from December 1996 to 12th August 1999 as Junior Research Fellow.
- Worked as a Senior Research Fellow in Botanical Survey of India, Eastern Circle, Shillong, Meghalaya (India) from 13th August 1999 to 22nd January 2004 in Lichen taxonomy.
- Worked as a Research Associate in G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment & Development, North East Unit at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh (India) since 23rd January 2004 to February, 2006.

- UNESCO-ICIMOD training workshop on “The Role of Ethnobotany in Conservation of Natural Resources” held in Nagaland.

- Resource person for WWF, India (NE centre) in 3 (three) occasions in Environmental orientation programme for students and teachers of Army Schools of Northeast India; for Wildlife Local Areas Trust in 3 (three) occasions, for IGNOU in 2 (two) occasions and for Gibbon Conservation Centre in 1(one) occasion.
- Independent observers in the Guinness World Records attempt on ‘Most Trees Planted in 24 Hours Individual/Team" by the people of Chautaki village of North Salmara Sub-Division of Bongaigaon District of Assam, India on 11th and 12th July, 2008. The attempt (planting 2, 84,236 trees in 24 hrs.) was declared as a world record by Authority, Guinness World Records.
